Salma Hayek's big : Madeo Mama
Kicking off her week with a fabulous evening out, Salma Hayek was spotted having dinner at Madeo restaurant in Los Angeles last night (August 30).
The “Grown Ups” actress looked curvy and cute as she strolled out of the popular eatery, sporting a cle**ge-baring top with a dark skirt and brown leather boots.
In related news, Ms. Hayek recently revealed that she’s had a hard time finding work in Hollywood due to her Mexican accent.
“I have been really, really lucky. It was really hard at the beginning because of the accent to find roles for me. Now after 20 years they're beginning to get used to me. I do have to work really hard, but I am in a really good place. A lot of people work really hard and don't get to see results. Maybe I would never have been a producer and director if things had just gone my way easily.”
Jessica Alba Premieres "Machete" in Venice
Promoting her upcoming movie overseas, Jessica Alba attended the "Machete" premiere during the 67th Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Wednesday night (September 1).
Held at the Sala Grande Palazzo Del Cinema, the "Sin City" star dazzled as she joined director Robert Rodriguez and co-star Danny Trejo on the red carpet.
Due out in theaters on September 3, Jess recently told of the film, “It’s exciting, for us as artists. Usually, we’re just entertaining and, most of the time, everything is just pure, commercial entertainment."
She adds, "Especially in Hollywood, there isn’t a whole lot of emphasis on much else. Film is used, in other places in the world, for political messages, and it’s an art, in all different forms. Some people don’t have a voice, and their government keeps them from having a voice. Knowing that we can participate in something that is socially and politically relevant, even in one of the biggest pop culture makers of the world, Hollywood, that’s awesome.”
Kelly Brook Takes "Piranha 3D" to France
Showing up for a promo appearance, Kelly Brook was spotted arriving at the screening of “Piranha 3D” in Paris, France on Wednesday (September 1).
The British model looked lovely in a cle**ge-baring black dress as she sauntered down the red carpet, stopping to pose for pictures along the way.
As far as “Piranha 3D” goes, last week “Avatar’s” James Cameron told Vanity Fair that the film is “an example of what we should not be doing in 3-D. It just cheapens the medium and reminds you of the bad 3-D horror films from the 70s and 80s, like 'Friday the 13th 3-D.”
Meanwhile, “Piranha 3-D” producer, Mark Canton, responded in an email that not only disagreed with Cameron’s statement but included the quote, “My sense is that Mr Cameron has never seen ‘Piranha 3D.’”
